What we collect
When you sign up for TenderHound alerts, we collect only what the service needs:
- Your email address — to send you tender alerts.
- Your province(s) — to filter tenders to the regions you bid in.
- Your trade specialties — to match tenders to your work.
- Your email frequency preference (daily or weekly).
- Payment details — handled entirely by our payment processor (Stripe). We never see or store your card number; we keep only the subscription status Stripe reports back to us.
- Waitlist emails — if your province isn't covered yet, we keep your email and province so we can notify you when we launch there.
Why we collect it
The sole purpose is to deliver the tender alert service you signed up for: matching public tender postings to your specialties and region, and emailing you the matches. We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for marketing.
Your consent (CASL)
By signing up, you give us express consent under Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) to send you tender alert emails at the address you provided. Every email we send identifies the sender and includes a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also unsubscribe at any time by replying to any alert. Unsubscribing stops the emails; it does not delete your account or cancel a paid subscription — contact us for that.
How we protect it
Subscriber data lives in a private database with server-side-only access credentials; it is never exposed to the public. Payment data never touches our servers.
Access and deletion
Want to see what we have on you, or want it deleted? Email tenders@tenderhound.ca from the address on your account and we'll take care of it.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects you, we'll note it here. Continued use of the service after a change counts as acceptance.
